New Family Tradition

We had a fun weekend with our extended family. Parker met Uncle Tim and Aunt Sharon for the first time and got reacquainted with Cousins Uncle Forrest and Aunt Rita.
Everyone was in town for Uncle Jacob and Aunt Bethany's wedding celebration, which was beautiful and fun. Even Uncle Jason was here...all the way from Germany! On Saturday, a new family tradition was born. Joshua, Forrest, Rita, and Uncle Tim all ran in a local 5K race that benefited missions. Rita and Uncle Tim were medal winners and wore their medals proudly throughout the weekend. They must defend their titles, so plans are in the making for another "family weekend" for the race next year. We had a "feast of champions" that evening complete with Uncle Jason's yummy grilling and Uncle Forrest's all day process secret recipe homemade ice cream. We all went to hear Granddaddy preach on Sunday and ate Sunday lunch at Granmamma's. It was a fun weekend and it reminded me of how blessed we are!
