This weekend we went to Valdosta to visit friends and family. We celebrated Father's Day (a day early) with Parker's great-grandfather. The whole family surprised him by showing up for dinner Saturday night! It was the first time he had met Parker in person. What a sweet time with our precious family! Since we were headed south for the family occasion, we decided to make a weekend out of it and stay with our best friends Will and Carol. They were very gracious to host us and even take us swimming! It was Parker's first time in the pool and HE LOVED IT. He wanted NOTHING to do with the baby float. He wanted IN the water. It was quite a workout trying to hang on to him! He was splashing, kicking, and moving his arms just like he knew what to do. He also took an AWESOME nap afterward!Parker with Great-Grandaddy Holder

In other news: Parker suffered his first busted lip. He fell and hit the table leg at Great-Grandpa's and did a number on his upper lip. There was a substantial amount of blood and I flipped out....but got it together and all is well. Nothing a little ice and some Motrin couldn't fix. He looks like he's been in a fight, so we are just telling people "You should see the other kid!"
